THE CLUB
Inaugurated on 12/12/2006
The SoCal Watercraft Club is a family oriented club with the primary purpose of bringing together people with an interest in personal watercraft. Our goal is to organize fun and interesting rides and events while promoting safety and the interests of the AWA and the PWC community in general. We try to maintain a relaxed and fun atmosphere in the club with an opportunity for everyone to participate. Our only requirement is that members join the AWA (see below) to unite and protect our rights on the water as they sanction our club and work very hard on our behalf. Besides, it's not expensive and you get a really nice magazine to boot! Members can join at a reduced rate without the magazine. The $10 fee goes to AWA not to our club. Unlike other AWA Charter Clubs around the country, WE don't charge fees or dues to join our club.


THE AMERICAN WATERCRAFT ASSSOCIATION (AWA)
The American Watercraft Association brings together personal watercraft enthusiasts, dealers and manufactures to protect your right to ride. When you join AWA, you add your voice to the thousands of PWC owners fighting for the freedom to enjoy recreation boating.
Don't wait until your favorite ride is threatened! They are our only voice protecting our right to ride PWC in the Ocean!
We must increase the number of voices we have speaking for PWC enthusiasts.

HOW TO JOIN THE CLUB
The only thing that's required for joining the club is to send your full name, mailing address, phone, email, with added statement that you want to join our SoCal Watercraft Club, and AWA membership status (either a membership # or a "pending" proof from AWA subscription registered) to either myself (Dan Ketchpel 805-886-4061) or Pirate (David "Pirate33" Tew 310-350-2464) via PM, phone call or use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page to e-mail the club at socalwatercraftclubforum@live.com
We will send the info to the AWA and they will update our membership roster.


ABOUT THE FORUMS AND JOINING FORUMS
The forums were created to support a dialogue between Socal Watercraft Club Members, others clubs, and also those interested personal watercraft enthusiasts. We ask that you treat our home with respect. We wish to keep this board open to all, and that is only possible if all forum members are respectful to one another. We do reserve the right to moderate forums, posts, and memberships if necessary, to keep the forum in line with our goal, which is to create a positive, fun and family oriented personal watercraft club. Posting in our forum is a privilege not rights.

FORUM PERMISSIONS

Certain areas of the Socal Watercraft Club forums are for Club members and AWA members from other clubs only.
Visitors or Unregistered Login users can no longer view the following forums:

Political Actions/Notices

The only way we can encourage AWA membership is to restrict forum access to club and AWA members only. AWA represents our collective PWC voice and we should try our best to promote it.

Once you become an AWA registered member, please send us your AWA Membership # via email or Private Message us
your AWA sign up. We will upgrade your status to AWA Member so you can participate and view the above mentioned privileges within our Forum.
